There is something in a human face that always makes us want to look at it. It also ties in with us being voyeuristic in a sense. Every face tells something about an individual, it can show what is above the surface it can also show what is under.

We are flooded by technology today, the internet, blogging, taking video with our camera phones or social networking sites. No matter how we look at the human face it is fascinating. The emotions behind the computer are what drives this project. We hide behind them, what would happen if we have a camera set to take pictures throughout the day and capture our emotions on the computer.

The Many Face of Priscila is a project using a different form of technology, the Webcam. By using the webcam I want to show the imperfections and the voyeuristic quality of this technology. There is something about using a webcam looking into someone’s life through a monitor that gives a certain quality. Showing the surroundings of an individual behind the computer, along with the clothing and what some might wearing (or lack) while sitting in front of the luminous glow of the monitor.

This project is a collection of one person and her emotions during the day while using the computer, or talking on the phone, doing work, or wandering the vast internet.

This is the start of the series and let us all enjoy in the evolution of this project.
